How long does an epoxy floor installation take?
Most residential garages are completed in about 2 days, depending on size and condition of the existing floor. Larger commercial jobs may take longer.
How long before we can use the floor?
Light foot traffic is usually possible in 24-36 hours. For pets, we recommend waiting 48 hours so the floor is fully set and any residual odor has cleared. We recommend not parking vehicles in garages for at least 72 hours.
Will the floor smell strongly during or after installation?
We use low-VOC, 100% solids products that produce far less odor than older solvent-based coatings. We still recommend good ventilation during the install, and the smell typically dissipates quickly.
Can epoxy be applied over plywood or existing coatings?
Yes, in many cases. We evaluate the surface first. Plywood requires proper preparation (cleaning, sanding, and filling seams). Existing coatings must be sound and properly prepped for good adhesion.
Is epoxy flooring good for dog kennels?
Yes. A properly installed epoxy or polyaspartic system is highly durable, chemical-resistant, easy to clean, and stands up well to claws, urine, and frequent washing.
Do you offer a warranty?
Yes. We provide a 2-year limited warranty against defects in materials and workmanship under normal use.
How do I maintain an epoxy floor?
Sweep or dust mop regularly. Clean with a mild, pH-neutral cleaner. Avoid harsh solvents, abrasive pads, or acidic cleaners.
What is the difference between epoxy and polyaspartic?
Epoxy is typically used as the base/body coat. Polyaspartic is a fast-curing, UV-stable topcoat that adds durability, chemical resistance, and a hard, clear finish. We often use both for the best long-term results.
Do you offer financing or payment plans?
Please contact us to discuss current payment options. A deposit is required to schedule the job, with the balance due upon completion.
